TRUST and the San communities of South Africa are proud to have their San Code of Research Ethics now available in French! The code marks a milestone in the San’s long experience with research and we hope that this French version will contribute to more equitable research. We are greatly obliged to Nora Gattegno, Elena Licheri and Gloria Esther Vernizzi, from the UNESCO Bioethics and Ethics of Science Section, and Dr François Hirsch, from INSERM Institute of Health Technologies, for the French translation of the San Code of Research Ethics.
