Kate Chatfield, whose background is in philosophy and holistic healthcare provision, is a social science researcher and ethicist. She holds positions as a senior lecturer in the School of Community Health and Midwifery at UCLan and as a senior researcher at UCLan Cyprus. She is currently the course leader for the MSc Sustainability, Health and Wellbeing, addressing the urgent need to confront sustainability issues related to health and healthcare provision. Her research interests include sustainability, equity and equality in healthcare; responsible research and innovation; ethical challenges in health care and research;as well as animal welfare and animal rights.
