Julie Cook Lucas, whose background is in English literature as well as project management, provides editorial support to the consortium. Her interests revolve around environmental issues, feminism and animal rights, and she has worked for a range of NGOs, including some in the anti‐vivisection and pro‐choice movements.  She has published a number of papers on benefit sharing, with particular emphasis on gender issues.
