Dr Kimani is a clinical epidemiologist with a Medical Degree from the University of Nairobi and a Masters of Public Health (Epidemiology) from the University of Washington, Seattle.  He is currently the Clinical Research Director at the University of Manitoba field office in Nairobi where he leads a research/program team responsible for mobilization, demand creation, patient care and treatment for key populations in Nairobi County.  Dr Kimani also assures that the rights of over 20000 sex workers, MSM and IDU are upheld, that samples necessary for ongoing studies are collected after informed consent and that client’s welfare adheres to the highest global ethical standards.
