Bioethics and Health Law in the Information Age

January, 27 – 28, 2017

The University of Otago, New Zealand hosts a conference on the topic Bioethics and Health Law in the Information Age. The aim is to explore current ethical and legal issues surrounding bioethics and health law in the Information Age, centring on the following subthemes: Big data; Artificial intelligence, health care, and conceptions of humanness; Trust and privacy: mobile devices, social media, and professional boundaries; Dual-use technologies.

Key Dates:

  • 1 September 2016: Abstract submission for presentations closes at 10.30am (New Zealand time)
  • 14 October 2016: Presenters will be advised by 10.30am (New Zealand time)
  • 1 November 2016: Registration closes at 5pm (New Zealand time)
